Technical Support and Service Engineer
Technical Support and Service Engineer Crawley with European travel 30-35k annually (depending on experience) Working for an expanding hi-tech electronics organisation as a Technical Support and Service Engineer you will play a key role in servicing, testing and supporting a range of innovative products. The position will be based in Crawley with regular travel around Europe. The product range comprises of various electronics, optics, electrical and mechanical aspects and you will be working on hi-value equipment. The company will look for someone with good industry experience or someone who has a lot of potential and can learn the product range quickly and has the ability to understand the technology. Some responsibilities as the Technical Support and Service Engineer Providing support to clients, the manufacturing team and R&D. Customer service activities from generating quotes to supporting existing customers with service, maintenance and troubleshooting systems at customer sites. Write up detailed reports. Respond to service related queries and technical requests. For this role you will need: A strong electronics background working on hi-value complex equipment. Ideally HNC or degree level qualified. Any exposure to working with lasers or optics would be desirable. Experience of performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on external customer sites. Experience of working with complex test procedures, electro/mechanical schematics, characterisation and troubleshooting functions.
