CAD Applications Technician Leamington Spa Permanent £20,000 - £25,000 Are you looking to work for a business that offers fantastic training? Are you a skilled user of SolidWorks? A market leading design and manufacturing business are currently looking to add a skilled CAD Technician to join their thriving team. Based in the Warwickshire countryside this company offers the most amazing work environment mixed with fantastic training and the chance to be part of a passionate team. Some of your duties as a CAD Technician will be... •Work with multi-disciplinary international project teams (sales, production, quotations, technical and finance) to develop internal and external product schemes to client specifications •Interpret CAD drawings and layers, with the ability to populate layout drawings, for client submission and approval •Build CAD schemes from a library of modular components using AutoCAD/SolidWorks •Develop bespoke component drawings in AutoCAD/SolidWorks for local manufacture •Liaise with third parties for provision of consultancy for stress modelling, blast modelling, photometric and EMC testing requirements on special projects •Develop and interpret product calculations using Relux (training provided as required) •Draft project/product technical specification sheets •Develop technical Powerpoint briefings and presentations To be considered for this role you need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience... •Certifications in 2D and 3D AutoCAD, SolidWorks or other design packages •Minimum GCSE ‘C’ grade or above in mathematics, English and science/technology subjects •Demonstrable experience of working with 2D and 3D AutoCAD/SolidWorks •IT literate, with particular emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel •Excellent interpersonal and team working skills •Passionate about technology, design, architecture and business •Driven to quickly learn about new software, lighting and business practise.
