My client is looking for a vehicle technician/mot tester with Citroen- Peugeot automotive experience, as expected you will also have experience of inspecting and testing all vehicles, both cars and light commercial vehicles, in addition to holding the appropriate certificates being City & Guilds level 1,2,3 or equivalent, also to be in line with current industry MOT standards. This role requires you to be experienced and competent at accurately using the latest diagnostic equipment. Responsibilities • Carries out vehicle services and repairs • Works in accordance with key Citroen or dealership processes • Liaises directly with customers where appropriate • Provides support to less experienced colleagues • Attends regular training to update technical skills • Works as a full member of the dealership team The Person This is a challenging position with plenty of job satisfaction and great prospects for the right people. For this position, you will need to be motivated, enthusiastic and take personal responsibility for the quality and quantity of work that you deliver. • Experience within a franchised dealership or bodyshop • Understand the Department of Environment (MOT) and Vehicle Safety Report (VSR) standards • Work in accordance with workshop and dealership Health & Safety requirements • Excellent communication skills • Ability to liaise confidently with After Sales Advisors and customers • IT Literate • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task • A solution focused individual with a natural problem-solving aptitude • Excellent time management skills • Will be required to attends specialised training as required (e.g. in new Nissan UK vehicles, technology or new workshop equipment) *Must hold a full UK Driving licence If you are an experienced Technician and want to take the next step in furthering your career get in touch.
