Our client are a renowned manufacturer of aluminium extrusions and fabrications They are seeking an experienced Fabrication Cost Estimator for their busy operations. Day to day duties will include the following: * Responsible for providing detailed, accurate fabrication cost estimates that will be submitted as formal quotes to customer requests (Essential) * Co-ordinate estimating activity across all functions including purchasing, quality and operations (Essential) * Co-ordinate and prepare cost estimates for presentation to customer account managers (Essential) * Prepare cycle time estimates for planning team and project transfer information for project management teams (Essential) * Source/Communicate with current sub contract supply base (Essential) * Read and interpret customer requests, drawings, parts lists, specification, engineering data packages and models(Essential) * Display awareness of cutting edge and competitive manufacturing processes across all commodities required to support (Essential) * Reporting to the UK Fabrication and Technical Sales Manager (Essential) * Predominately based at Redditch site, Worcestershire but available to travel to sister sites in Bromyard (Essential) As a person you will need the following qualities and experience: * CNC Machining background essential including knowledge of set up times, run times etc (Essential) * Bending and welding background (Advantageous) * Must have working knowledge of CAD drawing and Model viewers, Excel, Powerpoint and outlook (Essential) * Ability to review drawings, visualise the product in detail, create a mental picture of the manufacturing methods and steps required to produce the item and estimate time required to prepare and preform each process (Essential) * Ability to work under pressure (Essential) * Have a proven record of costing projects within the machining / fabrication sectors (Essential) Manufacturing Workforce are responsible for placing skilled and in demand people on both a permanent and contract basis into the Engineering, Technical and Manufacturing sectors, from skilled Shop Floor Personnel and Specialist Engineers to Supervisory and Management positions.
