Support Practitioner - Bank www.newdirectionsfsc.co.uk New Directions are a social care provider based in Hertfordshire providing support to vulnerable adults with mental health problems as well as for individuals on the Autistic Spectrum. We are looking for a dedicated Support Worker/Practitioner to join our established supported living services for individuals with mental health problems based in our Hertfordshire services (Borehamwood, Watford, St Albans, Welwyn Garden City). We are a National Autistic Society (NAS) accredited organisation with dedicated supported living services specialising in working with males with Asperger’s and Autism Spectrum conditions. As a Support Worker you will be responsible for: Supporting our clients with various support needs and supporting them on their journey of recovery, adopting an active recovery approach to your work overseen by our clinical occupational therapy lead. Actively participating and running group activities Supporting clients in the community in accordance with their support goals Assisting clients to undertake cleaning, cooking, washing up, laundry, and other daily living skills where necessary We are an ever growing organisation and are committed to offering our staff an extensive training programme to enable us to keep high performing staff and empower them to develop in their area of interest. Prior experience is preferred but not essential as you will undergo an extensive training programme upon joining us. This is a bank role which means there is no minimum contracted hours to be worked per week. Day/Night shifts will be available to claim throughout all of our sites.
