We are looking to add a temporary contract for a paralegal on an initial 3 month contract with a potential to increase to 12 months.

You will be working across the team supporting the senior lawyers across a wide range of legal, regulatory and financial services insurance issues relating to Personal, Commercial, Health and litigation issues in the UK.

The Person

This is an exciting opportunity to work in-house and learn about the financial services industry with the UK’s leading insurer. We are currently actively involved in a wide range of customer products and propositions and developments in terms of the use of data, digital technology sold directly to customer or distributed through intermediaries and key strategic partners.

Our aim is to proactively support the UK Insurance business as part of the UK Insurance legal team by providing first class legal advice and mitigating legal risk to the business.

The ideal person will be able to work with minimal supervision and be enthusiastic to learn

Duties & Responsibilities

    Research and monitor legal developments and regulatory changesCarry out basic contractual and product workSupport the senior lawyers with allocated tasksIdentify legal issues or risks and develop solutionsAdministrative duties and co-ordination of activity to required timescales

Skills & Experience required

    Excellent communication both written and oral together with questioning skillsSpecial attention to detail and ability to research legal and regulatory issuesStrong negotiation and influencing skillsThe ability to work as part of a team and deliver to required timescalesA natural curiosity to identify improvements with a positive mind set and a can do approachAble to deliver high quality superb customer servicePrepared to take on challengesA strong commitment to deliver the right outcome for our customers5 GCSE’s A-C including Maths and English (or equivalent)Law degree or equivalent relevant experience
