We’re urgently recruiting for an experienced Legal PA to join a leading City Law Firm in their Immigration department as soon as possible.

As the Legal PA you will provide typical core support to the Head of Department as well as to a team of Fee Earners. Your previous legal experience will be utilised when performing file management tasks including file opening and closing and billing.

Key responsibilities as the Legal PA will include:

    Proactive diary management ensuring all fee earners have all the supporting paperwork and information needed for each meeting and appointmentArranging internal and external meetings and conference callsAttending meetings to take minutesBooking training and coursesTyping short or urgent correspondence and producing sensitive and/or confidential documents when neededCoordinating travel bookings for all external appointments or tripsProviding pro-active client liaison and dealing with new client enquiriesAssisting with file opening and closingProducing draft engagement letters, terms of business, funding agreements etcManaging matters in MatterSphereObtaining transcripts and documents from Court and obtaining up-to-date counsel/expert/third party fee note(s)Assisting fee earners with billing procedures - preparing final bills and covering letters and processing write-offs and reversals/credit notes as neededAssisting fee earners to manage client accountsCompleting disbursement formsOrganising, supporting and preparing for all marketing activities i.e. events, seminars and Chambers submissionsUpdating the CRM databasePlus more

To be considered for this Legal PA role it is important that you have/be:

    Previous experience as a PA in the legal environment; experience of working within Immigration would be beneficialGood level of educationA relevant professional qualification would be desirableExperience working for a number of busy fee earners at the same timeImpeccable communication skills (Written and Spoken) including grammar, spelling and punctuationStrong organisational and prioritising skillsProactive problem solverIT literate including MS Office; Aderant (accounting) and digital dictation (BigHand) are desirableProfessional and positive with a ‘can-do’ attitudeAbility to understand client confidentiality, information security and data protection Immediate availability is crucial
The company’s standard hours are Monday - Friday 9.30am - 5.30pm and they offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
