Job description:

We are looking for a Performance Engineering Undergraduate to join our team in Coventry. Year in Industry - Performance Engineering Undergraduate Our sites at E.ON need to be in peak condition at all times. After all, they’re providing the heat, power, gas and Biomass that are supplying our customers and national grid. Working within the Business Heat and Power Solutions (BHPS) business, you’ll provide engineering and performance support to ten sites across the country.

What you’ll do

This is a Year in Industry placement where you’ll get to expand your knowledge in a number of engineering and performance-related opportunities. These include:

•Developing engineering solutions to enhance technical and commercial performance
•Crafting performance models to assess sites’ current thermodynamic performance against design
•Highlighting any downturn in the plant’s performance
•Putting forward cost-saving solutions where appropriate
•Immersing yourself in best-practice benchmarking.

Required profile:

What we’re looking for

•You’re working towards a 2:1 degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering (dual honours considered).
•You have excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
•You’re keen to learn about the commercial benefits derived from engineering projects.
•You are willing to travel and be flexible.
•You’re self-driven and excited to take control of your own personal development.

This role is based in Westwood, Coventry.
