UAT Test Engineer required by market leading technology company who specialise within the events management industry. The UAT Test Engineer is required to join a growing development team to delivering the company’s vision, ensuring that the quality of output from the team is kept at a high standard.

The successful UAT Test Engineer will report directly into the Head of QA and will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Completing day to day testing of new features

  • Automating as much testing as possible using tools such as Selenium and JMeter

  • Helping the Head of QA deliver the quality strategy for the business

  • Accurately recording the output of testing to ensure that software engineers can rectify any defects

Creating test plans by considering "what could go wrong?" with new features rather than simply testing that the work meets the documented requirements

The ideal individual will be an excellent communicator with impeccable written and spoken English. They should be able to conduct themselves professionally in an office environment. The right individual will be highly motivated and seeking an on-going career in testing. Our client welcomes individuals from all kinds of testing backgrounds but would be particularly interested in people who have automated as much testing as possible as we are moving away from manual testing.

At a minimum the UAT Engineer should possess these skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience writing test plans

  • Not just based on written requirements, but thinking beyond that to "what could go wrong?" and writing tests to cover (almost) every eventuality

  • Experience with automated test tools such as, but not limited to, Selenium and


  • A good working understanding of the web including HTTP/S, HTML, JavaScript

  • Experience producing test reports providing sufficient clarity to enable developers to correct any defects

This role comes with a starting salary up to £35,000 p/a with a great benefits package and working environment.
