Humanities Teaching Assistant

You will be utilising your excellent subject knowledge to support GCSE students to achieve the best they can. You will primarily be assisting students who need that extra little push to reach their potential. This will be through assisting the teacher in the classroom, organising and delivering booster sessions to suits the needs and interests of the students, keeping track of progress and being a positive role model throughout the school community. This rewarding opportunity will not only give you the satisfaction of positively influencing other people's lives, but will simultaneously develop your teaching and mentoring skills.

The perfect candidate will be a hard-working graduate, with a minimum of a 2:1 degree in a Humanities subject. It would be beneficial for you to have some transferable experience with children or young people. You will need to be positive and enthusiastic, in order to engage your students and ensure they are more enthusiastic about their studies and your subject. You will need to show a commitment to education and raising aspirations within the department and the wider school environment.
