Teacher of Maths - Yardleys School, Birmingham
Yardleys School, Birmingham
Teacher of Maths
MPS (TLR may be available for an exceptional candidate)
Required for September 2017
Judged 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, Yardleys is a heavily oversubscribed 11-16 multi-ethnic stand-alone academy with 900 students on roll. The School is ambitious and well managed with an inspiring learning environment. Teachers benefit from generous non-contact time, weekly training and smaller than average class sizes.
The collaborative ethos which permeates all parts of the school is summed up by our motto "Working together for a better future". This results in a highly supportive community, which allied with excellent student behaviour and a well organised school, allows teachers to focus on their teaching and improving their practice.
The Maths department has had significant success in recent years and we are looking to appoint an ambitious, creative and dynamic Teacher of Maths, willing to contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum. Familiarity with the specification would be an advantage. A TLR payment may be available for an exceptional candidate. As well as strengths in planning we are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to use data to inform their teaching.
Our pupils enjoy Maths and are enthusiastic both in the classroom and at home with a variety of online teaching and learning resources. The classrooms in the department are equipped to the highest standard with excellent interactive facilities.
Yardleys offers a commitment to professional development opportunities, an excellent induction programme, a healthcare package, well behaved students who are keen to learn and state of the art facilities.
We would welcome applications from NQTs or those with more experience. NQTs will be paid from July.
