Baltic Training are pleased to be working with Web Applications UK to recruit for a Networking Apprentice to join their team based in Oldham.

Web Applications create bespoke software for the travel industry and are able to boast National Trust, Japan Powder and ParkDean amongst previous clients. You will be working alongside existing staff and be mentored and trained to carry out the following duties:

  • Providing technical support
  • Maintaining networks and servers, responding to any problems accordingly.
  • Troubleshooting LAN/WAN infrastructure
  • Building/repairing of hardware.
  • Installing and upgrading software

Training to be provided:

  • Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in ICT
  • Level 3 Advanced Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
  • Networking Fundamentals
  • Mobility and Device Fundamentals
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Cloud Fundamentals
  • Coding and Logic
  • Level 2 Functional Skills (Literacy, Numeracy and ICT)

Skills and qualifications required:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Good hardware knowledge.
  • Experience of installing or upgrading software.
  • Understanding of networking.

The future is bright
Upon completion of the 12-month programme, there are real progression opportunities available. Along with your employer, you may decide to progress onto our level 4 programme and take your training even further.

Salary, hours and benefits

  • £148 per week
  • Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Location and travel
Their office is located just outside of Oldham, Town Centre. There are a number of bus and trams stops nearby that run local services.
