Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – Lambeth – South London – Up to £80 per day

Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant required for an ASAP start! Support a specialist class of Autistic pupils in a mainstream primary school Based in Lambeth, South London.

Do you have experience supporting children with Autism, whether voluntary or paid?

Would you like to broaden your experience by working with over 10 children with Autism?

POSITION: SEN Teaching Assistant / Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

PERSON: Must be a graduate with experience working with children or young people with Autism

SCHOOL: Large and well-resourced primary -work alongside their Educational Psychologist and Speech & Language Therapist.

ROLE: Support a specialist primary aged class of Autistic pupils

LOCATION: South London borough of Lambeth

TRANSPORT: Excellent links via the Victoria line

START DATE: January start – full time long term SEN Teaching Assistant post until July 2018

PAY: £70-80 per day dependant on experience plus up to £675 health care package!

My client is a large and well-resourced primary school in the heart of the bustling South London borough of Lambeth. It is conveniently located within a short walking distance from a Victoria line station and has over 6 different bus routes that stop close to the school, opening applications from a large part of South London.

They need an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who has a level of maturity to tackle the challenges of working with SEN pupils with confidence and positivity. All the children in this specialist class have been formally diagnosed as having Autism and are aged between 5-11 years old. Some pupils have additional learning difficulties such as Dyslexia and ADHD, with behaviour from a couple of individuals challenging at times.

Guiding these pupils through not only their academic goals but to develop them socially, you will work with them both on a 1:1 and small group basis, tailoring their educational plans to ensure each child is getting the best possible support.
