Psychology Graduate Primary SEN Teaching Assistant
For this exciting Primary SEN Teaching Assistant role you must have achieved at least a 2:1 in your Psychology or related degree, with strong A Levels to match, as the Head teacher is looking for someone with a strong academic background. School experience is not essential, as long as you have worked with SEN previously, ideally Autism and/or ADHD, and feel you have transferable skills. This role requires good communication skills and a resilient personality!

In this exciting role you will be an integral part of the schools SEN team supporting the SENCO, class teachers and pupils with learning and attainment. You will support learners who have specific learning and behaviour plans, and you will help them achieve their goals on a 1:1 or small group basis. You will be key to the schools intervention strategy to ensure the best possible learning outcomes. Therefore, it is essential you have been exposed to specific strategies which support SEN children with their learning - whether this be cognitively, behaviourally or with communication.

This growing Leeds Primary plays a key role in the community and has excellent links to public transport. The Head Teacher and SENCO have a proven track record of developing ambitious graduates to prepare them for ongoing teacher training or a career in Educational Psychology.
