History Graduate Academic Mentor - Secondary - Training School!

Perhaps you are keen to work in your subject specialism, delivering energetic, focussed and practical History lessons to ensure your students get the most out of lessons?

Schools across Birmingham and the surrounding West Midlands area are looking for high calibre graduates who are keen to gain some invaluable experience before starting their teacher training route in 2018.

This role would be perfectly suited for a History graduate with a 1st or 2:1 who would thrive in a role which would find you working on a 1:1 and group basis with students across Key Stages 3 -5.

At i-teachers we work closely with Secondary Schools across Central Birmingham and the surrounding areas who are looking for talented graduates who wish to pursue a career in education or working with children.

Our aim is to place you at a school that would benefit your future career plans which would include arranging and coordinating your trial day.

The successful candidate will be mainly working and supporting students ranging from KS3 to KS5 classes on a 1:1 and group basis.

It would be beneficial if you have gained a 2:1 or higher in your degree and that the subject which you have graduated. The most important element is that you have a clear passion for your subject and the drive to work in education and influence the lives of the next generation.

The Teaching Assistant role itself will find you supporting the class teacher over an array of topics, helping students gain a better understanding of learning objectives within your subject specialism. Throughout your time at the school you will find yourself work within the classroom and in smaller groups, aiding students who may need additional support in certain areas.
