Claims Handler - Manchester - £15,379 - £16,779 OTE

The Company:

A leading nationwide Insurance broker is looking for Customer Service staff to join their Manchester City Centre office.

The Job:

  • Working as a Claims Handler you will be dealing with processing new Insurance Claims for Motor Insurance clients of the company
  • As a Claims Handler you will be responsible for handling incoming calls from clients who are looking to make a claim against their insurance policy and acting on behalf of the insurers you will take down the initial report on the accident and submitting them through the system.
  • You will then liaise between the client and the 3rdparty Insurer during the life of the claim from inception to settlement.
  • As part of the claims process you will be reviewing evidence from all parties involved and checking for possible fraud
  • You may also have to organise transport for the individual involved in the accident.

The position will be working on a shift rota working 35 Hours per week. The hours will beworking between 8am and 8pm Monday-Friday on a rotation, 1 In 4 Saturday's 9-5 with a day off in the week to compensate.

The position is starting on a base salary of £15,379 with a bonus of £350 per Quarter available based on Customer feedback.

The Candidate:

  • Any knowledge of Claims while not essential is an advantage
  • Any knowledge of Insurance while not essential is an advantage
  • Previous experience in any form of Customer Service is essential.
  • A great telephone manner
  • Great attention to detail
