Legal Secretary - Real Estate
My client, a prestigious law firm based in City Centre Manchester, are looking for a Legal Secretary to join them on a permanent, full time basis within the busy Real Estate department.
You will NEED to have previous experience working within the Real Estate sector.
To produce documents and letters as directed by fee earners by means of computerised word processing and document management systems.
To maintain electronic and hard copy files and filing systems in an organised and efficient manners as required
To attend clients by telephone and in person in a professional manner.
To assist fee earners with day to day administrative matters as required including:-
Opening new files
Closing files and archiving
File organisation and filing in accordance with departmental procedures
Assisting with billing procedures and other account enquiries
Preparing standard letters sending out invoices/payment of disbursement.
Making appointments, arranging meetings and maintaining an up to date computerised diary
Making travel arrangements
To provide support to other secretaries with their workloads within other departments as reasonably required
To attend appropriate training courses to improve all elements of job requirements.
Any other reasonable task which may be required from time to time
Extensive knowledge of legal secretarial duties and skills
Advanced working knowledge of MS Office applications including specifically Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Accurate and efficient PC Skills
Accurate and speedy copy and/or audio typing skills
Experience of document Management System desirable
Demonstrates the ability to show initiative
Able to prioritise effectively
Ability to work under pressure
Flexible and professional approach
Excellent communication skills
Remaining enthusiastic and helpful when given mundane tasks such as filing and photocopying
A good team player as the successful candidate will work alongside senior secretaries within the department.
- Must be willing to undertake further training as required
Salary - £20,000 - £26,000 DOE.
