The firm is an award winning Top 200 UK Law firm with 8 offices across Somerset and Dorset. The work is high value and is both complex and interesting with their training aimed at streamlining work and ensuring that a lot of support and training is given to their employees. Our client puts a lot of emphasis on developing and progressing its existing employees and as a result has been awarded with numerous employee and work environment satisfaction awards. The firm have recently had Partners from Top Tier Central London Law firms join and one of their current Equity Partners was a Trainee with them only 10 years ago.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Secretary that has a solid grounding in Wills and Probate to join a growing and thriving department and work part-time. You will be working under the Partner and Head of the Wills and Probate department that has a lot of experience that you will benefit from in this area of Law.

in this position you will be required to work 3 days per week.

For a candidate that is seeking to progress, this is a unique firm to join as two of their employees that started out as Secretaries went on to become Legal Assistants and are now studying for their LPC as a consequence of being offered Training Contracts by the firm.

What is needed for me to be considered?

  • Having previous experience working as a Secretary, Legal Assistant or Personal Assistant in professional services is essential
  • A solid grounding and experience in Wills and Probate work is desirable but not essential
  • You will need to have a typing speed of at least 60wpm
  • Must be genuinely interested in this area of law and keen to grow and progress their career
