A Primary School (Academy) in Reading is looking for a full time HLTA with passion and enthusiasm to cover at least two terms from January 2018. Their is also the possibility the role could be extended or made permanent for September 2018 onwards.
The Higher Level Teaching Assistant will work with the SEN team and be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing episodes of learning to individuals and small groups of students who require additional support with accessing specific subjects within the mainstream curriculum.
The two term role will require you to mainly be working with a Year 2 Class. In addition to the vital HLTA support their is the opportunity to developing whole class teaching skills and you may be required to work in other classes in the school. You would have an NVQ Level 3 - Higher Level Teaching Status or practical experience of supporting pupils with SEN issues, passion for the education of young people and the ability to plan effective actions for students at risk of under achieving.
