My client is a leading provider of ‘on site’ logistics services, they specialise in removing inefficiency from customer’s manufacturing processes. Born from the needs of a world renowned vehicle manufacturer operating in the UK, their expertise ranges from the management of large time sensitive warehouses to direct production line feed and sub assembly. Operating with discretion and integrity, several other UK manufacturers in the automotive sector have since benefited from their ‘on site’ logistics solutions.

Main Duties:

  • Use of hand held scanners
  • Achieve minimal errors in line with targets set
  • Achieve the minimum productivity level set by your line manager
  • The flexibility to move between departments and learn new tasks in order to support the operation
  • Work as a team member with all other departments and managers
  • Ensure all new stock is unloaded within agreed turnaround time and checked against appropriate quality standards
  • Ensure when manual handling products that all guide lines are followed and adhered to
  • Ensure that any machinery been used is within your skills level
  • Ensure we receive/dispatch stock in a good clean condition, on time and all goods are safely stacked and orders are picked and dispatched correctly through the use of R.D.T.’s and check on (stock control system) if applicable
  • Attend regular meeting with team leaders and group leaders
  • Adhering to company procedures, ensuring that all related paperwork is completed and pallets are accounted for
  • Ensure protective equipment is used at all times
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are complied with at all times
  • Ensure MHE equipment is used correctly and safely
  • Report any near misses or accidents
  • Report any dangerous occurrences according to Health and Safety regulations
  • Adhere and comply with the company’s Health and Safety Regulations
  • Record accurate information on any daily safety checks of warehouse equipment
  • A flexible approach to the job functions including work patterns
  • Undertake any other reasonable assignments as may be required by your manager
  • Supporting the Operation by providing an accurate and efficient logistics service to the BMW Mini Plant, ensuring parts are delivered to the production line with minimal errors and within strict time constraints.

Knowledge/Experience – Desirable/Advantageous

Qualifications required

Preferable 5 GCSE's A-C or the equivalent

Warehouse and Logistics Level 2

Working week

  • Monday to Friday – 8 hours per day Flexible – as per needs of the business
  • Total hours per week: 40.00

£300.00
