My client are a leading Social Housing Contractor, who operate nationally. They have recently been awarded a New Build Social Housing scheme in Walsall (consisting of 60 units) and as such, are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to run the development from start to finish.
Reporting to a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for controlling all elements of the project, including operational delivery, budgeting, cost control, administration and client liaison.
Typical duties will include:
" Regular Liaison with the client and agents of the client to ensure clarity and consistency of communications and the speedy resolution of issues thus ensuring a strong working partnership
" Continuous planning and overview of the contract to ensure that at all times the Company are fulfilling the requirements of the contract
" Presentation skills to the extent of explaining projects to both clients and internally.
" Allocation of workloads and duties between the managers, and other office staff to ensure that at all times the correct priorities are maintained and that issues and problems within the branch are dealt with in an effective and efficient way.
" Ensure development and maintenance of appropriate project management tools and procedures throughout the development process.
" Coordinate the full construction process onsite and post construction
" Develop construction phase health and safety plan
The successful candidate must have prior experience of Project/Contract Managing New Build Residential schemes, and must be able to demonstrate a progressive and stable career within the Residential New Build sector on their CV. Being a member of the CIOB and academic qualifications is desirable, but not essential.
The salary on offer is between £45 - 50k + attractive package, depending on your experience.
