Financial Reporting Analyst

My client is one of the global leaders in their field, supporting corporate clients in over 30 countries worldwide. Due to exceptional growth they now seek to recruit a Highly Commercial newly qualified accountant to support non finance heads with a holistic partnering service, looking at KPI`s, over all sales performance and rebates. This role is very visible, and give you access to the board of Directors for a leading Blue Chip brand. There is also real opportunity for development, and progression through the UK head office based in Slough.

Role:

  • Ownership of extremely high profile areas of the P&L
  • Analyse large volumes of data relating to sales to assess profitability and rebates
  • Review and present summary schedules with key highlights explaining monthly termination and rebates results to senior management
  • Prepare summary schedules showing key indicators for monthly reporting
  • Liaise with Asset Risk team to understand Residual Value forecast
  • Management of internal and external financial reporting submissions (financial and non financial data)
  • Help support the on-going development of timely and accurate financial reporting including process improvements and system upgrades
  • Responsibility for and completion of key balance sheet reconciliations
  • Responsible for the provision and co-ordination of audit requests on own accounting areas
  • Support Finance Manager with ad-hoc senior stakeholder analyses Analysis & Business Partnering
  • Provision of monthly analysis of results and movements against prior year/ plan to fully explain underlying root cause
  • Close liaison with appropriate business teams to support query resolution and understand material changes to balance sheet and/ or P&L accounts.
  • Preparing commentary on material movements in selected area to senior management
  • Support business teams and stakeholders with ad-hoc analyses and projects

Profile:

You will be newly qualified ACA, ACCA or Cima, and ideally with prior experience of value add partnering, modelling on Excel and manipulation of large data sets to identify trends, and to convert in to presentations.

Salary & Benefits:

  • £45-50,000 P/A based on experience
