Position: Bookkeeper and Finance Analyst

Location: Garstang, PR3 1NJ

Salary: £19,500 per annum

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (part time also considered for first 6 months)

The role

In this varied and responsible role you will be handling most of the day to day finance operations of the company. You will work with people across the business including the company Accountant, Finance Director, CEO, CTO, Operations Manager and Customer Service team where you will:

    Initially perform bookkeeping on the purchase side of the business including:
    invoice receipt, scan and codebank reconciliation
Later progress to include all sales bookkeepingPay suppliers and manage the bank accountProcess and pay expensesAnalyse key supplier invoices to validate that billing is accurateWork with suppliers to resolve disputed invoicesPrepare reports for the executive teamAttend monthly finance reviews with the executive team.Skills and Experience

You must

    Have three or more years of bookkeeping or finance experienceHave previously managed company bank accounts and paid suppliersBe an enthusiastic and fast user of online and web based systemsHave excellent Microsoft Excel skillsShow good attention to detailBe organised, accurate and reliableBe assertive and effective when dealing with suppliers and business customersHave good verbal and written communication skillsTake ownership of problems and see them through to resolution.
Any of the following would be an advantage

    Experience with Xero accounting softwarePart qualified or studying towards relevant qualificationsFinance experience in the logistics industryExport or international trade experience.
