We are currently seeking a Senior Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our small Sales & Purchase Ledger team based in the Finance Department at our King’s Buildings Campus, West Mains Road, Edinburgh.
In this role, you will be responsible for training staff, resolving vendor queries, purchase ledger maintenance investigations, preparing weekly payment selections, reconciling purchase ledger month end reports to nominal ledger, preparing month end accruals for management accounts. You will deal with larger suppliers, reconciling accounts and dealing with any discrepancies and, where appropriate, requesting refunds. You will be responsible for the sales ledger and during periods of absence, you provide cover for other roles in the team. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 Standard Grades or equivalent, including English and Maths and will have gained relevant experience working in a Purchase / Sales Ledger environment. Experience of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel is essential.
