Infrastructure/IT Specialist

Job Role:

To define and implement the most effective IT management strategy to ensure maximum security and efficiency for systems and IT platforms.Candidate Criteria:

·Previous experience of defining IT architecture, implementing processes and training team members on associated change

·Previous experience of mapping third party software provision and making recommendations as to how best to manage for greatest efficiency, security and cost management

·Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of wireless network technology sector

  • Knowledge of modern hardware, operating systems and applications
  • Ability to diagnose network, hardware and software problems
·Previous experience of working as part of small, dedicated team in dynamic, start-up environment


IT architecture

·Review the current architecture with a view to achieving the following aims:

* Work closely with management team members, specifically the Head of Development, to fully understand current systems and processes

* Identify the type of data, systems and software used, including users, locations and business requirements

* Identify and integrate all existing IT resources into one clear structure

* Create a map of the IT architecture to reflect architecture in support of business processes (testing (both internal and external), software release, license control, installation.

* Assist in diagnosis of hardware / software related issues

Third party software provision

* Identify all third-party software provision across IT systems including .Net environment

* Create list of licenses including users, costs and renewal dates

* Identify all third party ‘plug ins’, map interface and issues / risks

* Review the current package of software and support provided through Microsoft with a view to the following:

Licensing Implementation

* Implement licensing process associated with all products working closely with Development, Sales and Product Development

* Work closely with Support team to provide assistance on any licensing related customer queries and issues achieving viable solutions

IT management business processes & internal software tool development

* Identify and map all IT management business processes (new starter, system access, leaver process) ensuring any overlapping processes reflect specific IT requirements

* Identify and develop any internal software tools to support business / IT processes
