CSE Residential Support Workers (Days or Nights) – West London

From £21,210 to £22,220, per annum, rising incrementally to £24,947 depending on Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent

St Christopher’s Fellowship – Safe Steps is our specialist service for girls who are at risk of child sexual exploitation, gang involvement and drug related risks within the community.

About the Role

As a Children’s Residential Worker you will provide direct support and care for young females aged 12 to 17 years. Working within a social pedagogic framework, you will develop phased care plans aimed at building life skills, teaching young women to recognise risk and manage their own safety within the community. You will engage in intensive key working, with closely supervised activities and will be responsible for providing detailed reports and monitoring.

  • Experience of working with Young People in a residential setting.
  • Ability to build genuine and trusting relationships with young people and encourage their independence.
  • Understanding of the issues surrounding child sexual exploitation and community based risks.
  • Enthusiasm and Energy to inspire and encourage young women to achieve great things.
  • Flexibility to undertake shift working including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
