Your new company
You will be working within a large independent firm of accountants based in the heart of Stockport town centre. The firm are looking to appoint a Bookkeeper on a part time basis to join their busy team. The firm offer a full range of services including payroll, tax, accounts, audit and bookkeeping.
Your new role
You will be working on a part time basis within a team of Bookkeepers, providing assistance to clients in preparation for the accounts production. Your role will see you liaise with a variety of clients including limited companies, sole traders and Partnerships from a range of sectors. You will be responsible for bank reconciliations, the purchase and sales ledgers, VAT returns and bringing the accounts to trial balance.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to undertake this role you must have worked within an accountancy practice previously and within a bookkeeping capacity. Ideally you will have used Sage and have had exposure to cloud accounting software as well. You should be able to communicate effectively with both colleagues and clients alike and be able to prioritise your workload in an efficient manner.
