A well known regional firm has a brand new opening for a family law solicitor to join their Nottingham office. This is a superb opportunity to develop your skills within a small, established and innovative department and to work on variety of privately-funded cases. In an ideal world, they are looking for a qualified Solicitor with 5 years PQE+ experience in family law starting as soon as practical. Ideally you will have significant experience, having worked as a paralegal in family law pre qualification would be ideal.

Exceptional client service skills are essential, you must be able to empathise with a wide range of clients in order to resolve the most sensitive and complicated practicalities involved in family break-ups. Alongside this you will need good organisational and communication skills. The successful candidate will be committed to team work, and crucially have a proven track record in business development and networking to help in developing and building the team across the Midlands Region.

You will have good IT skills and should be familiar with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.

You will have a minimum of 5 years experience in family law;
Experience in private work;
Experience of running your own caseload and acting with some autonomy;
Advocacy experience is of advantage but not essential;
Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills;
Ability to work as a member of the team and to support colleagues in our other offices were necessary;
Ability to build relationships with other professionals and third parties;
Ability to work under pressure to time and financial targets;
Professionalism and integrity at all times;
Confidence to develop own case load and the profile of the firm via networking, marketing and business development;
Travel to Birmingham as and when required
