My client is a rapidly growing SME within the Manufacturing industry. The business has grown year-on-year and now they are looking to expand their finance team. The role is ideally suited to someone who has experience in an SME with exposure to producing management accounts. The organisation have an annual turnover of £15 million and have a team of 5 at present. The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA.

As the Management Accountant you will perform a key role for the business. You will report into the Managing Director and you will gain a variety of experience in a profitable business but you must be flexible.

The role will involve the following duties:

*Responsibility for the production of the monthly management accounts including journals, reconciliations, variance analysis and accounts preparation up to final TB level
*Monthly reconciliation of all intercompany balances
*Prepare cash-flow review on an ongoing basis and forward cash-flow forecasting support to the Finance Manager
*Completion of Monthly Invoice Discounting Reconciliations
*Delivering and fully reconciling applications for Payments as applicable
*To prepare accurate balance sheet reconciliations with appropriate back-up, in order to meet monthly / quarterly deadlines
*To run reporting schedules at month end / forecasts, identifying and investigating variances and bringing any areas of concern to the attention of the Finance Manager
*Analysing variances in monthly performance against budget and prior year equivalent values
*Preparation of Weekly KPI reports
*Preparation of the quarterly VAT return, EC Sales and CIS and other regular external compliance reports
*To prepare customised reports (e.g. transaction listings) as required by budget holders in order to facilitate their decision making and cost control
*To document all workings and analysis in the form of clear schedules which are able to be easily understood
*Preparing financial information in a variety of different presentational forms
*Ad hoc project work and financial analysis as required

If you have any experience of working in a similar industry then please clearly detail this on your CV. Likewise, should you have had any exposure to Microsoft Excel (VBA, SQL, pivot tables/vlookups/macros) then please make sure this is highlighted.
