  • Job purpose
    A Part 66 A and B1 / B2 Licenced Aircraft Engineer with proven competencies and experience, employed to carry out specified Aircraft maintenance tasks and provide a level of supervision to unlicensed employed and contract personnel, to provide inspection certification and Certification for Release to Service (CRS) as and when required
    Key responsibilities
    • Co-ordination of all staff allocated to their control within their work area, provide briefings, guidance and support as necessary to deliver assigned daily work plan.
    • Ensure handover log is completed at the end of shift.
    • Ensure Housekeeping standards are upheld, and an end of shift' clean-up is performed in accordance with company instructions.
    • Maintain a level of discipline, behaviour and appearance to all staff within their work area to promote a professional image to internal & external customers.
    • Ensure Team compliance with MPM procedures and all H&S requirements.
    • Act up to more senior role as requested by management and within agreed levels of authority.
    • Lead by example through behaviour and as an approved technician, completing hands on tasks as and when time allows.
    • Recognising patterns of behaviour with subordinates that have a potential impact on the performance of maintenance and airworthiness
    • Carry out annual appraisals of subordinates to ensure personnel are competent and meet the requirements of the company.
    • Ensure they and their colleagues wear the company supplied Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) when required or as directed by the company.
    • Ensure that company H & S requirements are complied with at all times.
    • Carry out work as directed by management, providing guidance and assistance to other staff (any trade) to ensure safe and effective working practices.
    • Uses initiative to solve problems within the constraints of company procedures
    • Report to Quality Assurance, through the Engineering Occurrence Report EOR system, any factors or issues affecting Airworthiness.
    • Carry out additional team responsibilities (secondary duties) as agreed
    • Ensure housekeeping standards are upheld in compliance with company procedures and instructions
    • Maintain a level of behaviour, discipline and presentation to promote a professional image to internal & external customers.
    • Monitoring team hours on tasks ensure accurate data retrieval on AMOS.
    • Management of personnel to ensure efficient use of resources
    • Estimating defect / modifications task times and justifying as required.
    • Ensure electronic and paperwork records reflect correctly the work completed and all fields of data are captured to enable accurate costing of resources and materials used.
    • Ensuring timely ordering of materials to ensure lead times do not impact Turn Around Time (TAT)
