Our client, a successful and well respected financial services organisation, are currently recruiting for a Mortgage Services Supervisor to supervise the team responsible for the existing mortgage book, arrears and on rare occasions, litigation, achieving the required business results. This role is based at Head Office.


- Providing day to day leadership to the Mortgage Services team ensuring that any issues relating to the existing mortgage book are dealt with efficiently and effectively
- Management of the organisations arrears and, where necessary, any relevant litigation
- Contributing as an individual and as a team leader to the achievement of the team targets
- Ensuring all the processes are delivered in line with the Customer Journey and Corporate Expectations
- Providing regular management information
- Ensure the team meets all legislative, code of practice, security and internal control requirements
- Providing feedback to Senior Management on staff performance
- Ensuring provision of a quality service throughout the department, resolving disputes and placing the most appropriate action plan for the customer as well as the company
- Managing functional based projects to required timescales, budget and desired quality
- Motivating staff within the function towards achievement of their role
- Facilitating and co-ordinating training
- Ensuring the company’s values are owned and implemented by team and demonstrated on a consistent basis
- Manage staff resources against budgets and expectations
- Dealing with customers as well as internal and external contacts in a way which leaves them with a positive impression
- Building effective relationships with third parties to ensure quality services, elimination of risk and fair customer outcomes
- Maintaining an up to date knowledge of existing and future regulations and assess impact on business
- Consistently seeking to add value through continuous self-development and by looking for ways for team to increasingly add value
- Adopting a positive and pro-active approach with customers and colleagues, showing enthusiasm for the company’s vision, policies and priorities
- Communicating with colleagues in a positive, timely and effective manner

Skills and experience required:

- 2 years of experience as a supervisor
- Experience of dealing with mortgage arrears and back book issues
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent including English and Maths GCSE essential
