Hays Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting exclusively for an experienced and dynamic Senior Credit Controller to join a well-established and growing manufacturing organisation based between Stroud and Gloucester on a permanent basis (full-time or part-time). A great opportunity in a newly created position reporting directly into the Financial Controller to manage all credit control processes and procedures for the business. You will liaise closely with the finance/sales/operational teams to deliver a high quality of credit collection from outstanding debts, complex query resolution and implement/streamline credit control processes.
Your new role
Your key duties will include the management and hands-on chasing of overdue/outstanding debt via a variety of methods including telephone, email and letter within agreed timescales. Credit checking and creation of payment schedules along with identify appropriate and existing terms for customer risk profiles. You will deal with any credit control queries, ensuring invoices are paid in a timely manner, ad-hoc credit analysis/reporting and recommendation of customer credit limits for senior management. You will undertake account reconciliations, weekly/monthly direct debit mandates, cash flow forecasting processes along with implement/improve credit processes for the organisation. You will be expected to build internal relationships with the finance/sales/operational teams and external customers/clients along with leading ad-hoc credit projects.
What you'll need to succeed
For this exciting and newly created Senior Credit Control position you must have experience within a similar role, with strong verbal/written communication skills, attention to detail and be able to manage your own work-loads and responsibilities. You must be able to deal with customers at all levels building relationships with both external/internal parties. It is essential that you can use your own initiative to achieve results and be able to recognise potential risks to the organisation that should be escalated. It would be advantageous if have strong MS Excel skills and have used SAP systems previously.
