Smart Recruitment are actively seeking a Compliance Manager for a manufacturing company based in South Somerset.
We are seeking someone who has a compliance background to cover the following areas - HR, Facilities, Health and Safety and Sustainability. These 4 business areas require important policies to be continuously developed and enforced to ensure the company meets its customers’ expectations.

Main Duties:·Be the main point of contact for employees to communicate with management.·Oversee and maintain compliance for furniture testing.·Implement ISO14001and ISO9001 with the assistance of an external consultant if needed. ·Ensure managers are managing sick and performance issues correctly. ·Advise on HR issues within relevant Employment Law and best practise guidelines. ·Ensure all Health and Safety risk assessments are carried out. ·Prepare reports for compliance operations. ·Maintain HR records such as contracts and policies. ·Manage all financial, social and environmental risks, obligations and opportunities.·Conduct internal reviews and audits following ISO9001 and ISO14001.
Skills and Experience:·HR knowledge and experience (CIPD Qualification beneficial)·Health and Safety knowledge (IOSH or NEBOSH trained would be an advantage)·Excellent planning and organisational skills·Able to build both internal and external relationships·Working in a busy environment ·Meet all timescales and deadlines.
