Job Title: Retail Duty Manager

Salary: £40,000 per annum + £5,000 car allowance

Location: London EC2M 2QS

Hours: Full Time (working 1 weekend in every 5)

Our client is a leading property consultancy and management company in the UK with a reputation for excellent service and delivering management services throughout the life-cycle of a development. They manage various types of real estate including some of London’s most prestigious commercial buildings, and their core services include consultancy, design for management, property, facility & asset management and placemaking.

Your New Job:

  • To be the first point of contact for retailers in your allocated district.
  • To understand their businesses and to monitor and support them in improving their overall performance including compliance, sales growth and levels of customer service.
  • To take ownership of your allocated district ensuring all front of house areas are in keeping with the operational standards and the Landlords vision.
  • Working on a rota basis to cover all trading periods ensuring retail compliance to operational standards and lease agreements.
  • To act as an ambassador for our client, liaising with service partners (cleaning, waste management and security) and their client when needed to ensure high standards across the estate.
  • To assist the marketing team in staging events including set-up, execution, management and communications.
  • To engage with customers and members of the public when needed giving a great lasting impression.

  • Retail Fit-out & Concept Design Approval

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • An enthusiastic, energetic individual with a proactive problem solving approach
  • Retail experience preferred, commercial experience considered
  • Experience in retail management, centre management, F&B or a hospitality role for a high footfall destination
  • Degree level qualified with a background in Business, Property Management, Real Estate or similar
  • Previous customer service experience including dealing with multiple stakeholders at various levels of the business
  • A diplomatic approach, enjoys and is comfortable in dealing with members of the public, clients and retail occupiers on a daily basis
  • An awareness of new trends in the sector including pop-up retail and street food, Ministry of start-ups, delivery apps such as Seamless/Order Swift, and the emergence of food trends such as Poké
  • Social media savvy, a user of facebook, twitter, Instagram with an understanding of the role of bloggers and influencers in increasing patronage, footfall and sales
  • Experience of footfall monitoring and gross sales collection and the associated software and platforms used to do this.
  • Experience in using facility management systems such as CAFM and HelpDesk for logging of required works
  • Experience in H&S and compliance for retail and F&B occupiers
  • Ability to work alone and remain motivated to deliver high standards when working evenings /weekends on a rota basis
  • Experience of understand the clients vision and taking instruction to deliver this vision on a day-to-day basis
  • Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills across platforms including when under pressure or in an emergency situation
  • Ability to work on individually allocated projects in addition to normal duties
  • Capable of identifying areas of business improvement, raising these issues and offering realistic positive solutions
  • Aware of competitor activities and enthusiastically proposing with new ideas and innovations
