This role is predominantly focused on supporting the Store Operations and Property teams, as well as supporting one of the divisional business partners, but there is strong crossover with the other two roles in the team.

You’ll be working within a team of three Operations Finance Analysts, supporting the Operations function and the rest of the Operations Finance team with financial analysis, reporting and ad-hoc financial support.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting - Variety of daily, weekly and monthly financial reports for the operations function
  • Management accounts - support to the senior finance manager in producing the iterations section of the Wickes Management Accounts
  • Budgeting and forecasting - creating store level budgets and forecasts aligned to the company targets.
  • Post investment review analysis and trial monitoring of store based activity
  • Financial system data maintenance and uploads
  • Divisional finance business support e.g. store P&L queries
  • Financial analysis for major business initiatives where relevant
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis as required
Requirements

  • A-Level science or Mathematics based Subjects
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation
  • Clear communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Fast learner
  • Enthusiastic and inquisitive nature
