A position has arisen for a Group Financial Accountant at a Head Office in Slough. It will be for a minimum of a 12 month contract but this could go beyond this timeframe. It will support a Group Financial Controller Designate in all group reporting to the ultimate listed parent company. More specifically, you duties will be:
  • Consolidation of all group accounts, ensuring internal controls are correctly applied
  • Providing support and liaison with group divisions;
  • Responsible for Group reporting to parent company
  • Provide a centre of financial excellence and expertise to the worldwide group and to the global finance organisation
  • Supporting the Group Financial Controller with managing all external audit practices and processes
The successful applicant will have a strong technical knowledge in accounting, with specific expertise in production and presentation of complex consolidated accounts in an international organisation with plc style reporting. The role also requires a commercially astute and robust individual who has the ability to question, influence and contribute to a senior management team during this continued period of change.

You will be degree educated, ACA qualified having trained in one of the larger firms of accountants and have post qualification experience within a commercial environment or from a Practice with relevant exposure to this type of environment. Good knowledge of reporting systems and processes and related IT environment is essential.
