Energy Projects Engineer

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Energy Projects Engineer working with an important automotive manufacturing company who are global leaders in their field based in Swindon, Wiltshire on a 12 months fixed term contract basis.

As Energy Project Engineer the main purpose of your role will be to project lead various projects in the paint department & energy reduction themes across the business in line with ISO50001 requirements.

The job role will involve you often having to come up with innovative and unique solutions to problems which will have a direct impact to the performance of the business. This is a responsible and rewarding position providing you with challenges which will be varied and diverse.
You will be exposed to all areas of project work and gain a diverse experience which often leads to future development opportunities.

Main responsibilities:

*Leading project equipment installation & energy reduction themes
*Carrying out project feasibility studies
*Generating equipment specification
*Assisting with cost negotiation with external suppliers and contractors
*Creating and working to manufacturing control plans
*Contributing towards budget control
*Supporting investment presentations
*Supervising contractors

To be considered for the position of Energy Projects Engineer you must have/be:

*Completed an Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship
*Able to create and interpret mechanical & electrical drawings
*Strong Project Management experience (planning specification, ordering and contractor supervision)

The following would be advantageous:

*Knowledge of energy management systems
*Knowledge of DSEAR, ATEX Standards etc.
*A HNC in an Engineering discipline
*Experience of working in automotive manufacturing

What we want from you:

No two days are the same and you will need to be able to react and change priorities at very little notice. The ability to self-manage your workload is essential. Strong communication skills are a must have as and you will need to be pressure across multiple projects, often under significant delivery pressure.
