Job Title: Payroll Consultant– Onboarding & Implementation
Reports to: Payroll Manager
Location: Central London
6 month FTC with a view to going permanent
Salary to £40.000 on a P.A.Y.E basis
Software used: Star

My client is an accountancy bureau based in Central London. Due to recent positive changes in the business they are recruiting for a Payroll Consultant to help with onboarding of new business clients and some implementation of existing clients. This role is office based and doesn’t require travel.

You will ideally have bureau or practice experience

Roles and Responsibilities

Working with the small to medium businesses and being involved with payroll implementation process from start to completion.
Strong knowledge of UK payroll procedures
Operating and produce the optimal model for the client while also meeting the requirements of the business.
To understand and be able to articulate to the client all the information that must be stored against an employee in order to successfully setup their payroll.
To analyse client requirements and develop appropriate solutions identifying areas for improvement in conjunction with the client.
Oversee the client live payroll run once the implementation is complete.

Qualifications Required

Qualifications and Experience

Previous payroll experience essential
Experience if implementation and on boarding
Experience of using STAR highly advantageous
Experience of working in a practice or bureau highly advantageous
Knowledge of auto-enrolment
Flexible during times of change
Above average literacy and numeracy
Knowledge of HM Revenue & Customs current legislation
Strong MS Outlook, Excel and Word skills are essential
