Established family business with a national customer base requires a Credit Controller.The Company has been established for 26 years and is experiencing year on year growth, supplying goods to the retail and wholesale sectors.
The Role :
·Evaluate each potential new customer account and assess viability for credit.This encompasses credit checking, seeking references, and collecting any other useful information to assess credit worthiness.
·On-going to assess each customer account to check credit granted is suitable to latest circumstances.
·Use a diverse range of collection strategies to collect debts as they become due.These will include, but are not limited to, telephone, e-mail, statements, letters and if necessary using external legal support.
·For overdue accounts ensuring that monies are collected within the shortest timeframe possible by communication with customers and internal teams on a regular basis.
·Assisting customers with queries and resolving as necessary to ensure customer balances are up-to-date.
·Preparing ad hoc information around new accounts and credit notes issued.
·Good communication, IT, negotiation skills.
·Ability to work with all other areas of the business and keep relevant people informed of any significant on-going changes.
