Assistant IE Engineer
Venator, previously known as Huntsman Pigments & Additives is currently recruiting for an Assistant I/E Engineerto join its growing team to assist with managing the asset I/E infrastructure so that all equipment is maintained safe, ‘fit for purpose’ and compliant with all corporate and UK legislation.
Additionally, as the Assistant I/E Engineer, you will:·Perform all duties at all times in compliance with all Venator corporate and EHS, business conduct policies, guidelines and the local site Life Saving Rules at all times. Complete all Corporate Compliance training.·Comply with all site standard work requirements (EHS investigations, EHS actions, EHS tools, Leadership interactions, Safety Crosses, Tier process, Process Confirmations etc)·Control and manage EHS critical routines such as Proof testing, Hazardous Area Inspections and LV Drive Inspections to ensure asset compliance with regulatory requirements on time in full·Manage the timely planning and completion of Statutory Actions ·Establish the engineering priorities for work undertaken on the assets and liaise with internal and external resource providers to ensure the specialist resources required to support the area team are provided·Manage I/E technicians during shutdowns as well as key contract resources as required·Take a leading role in plant support requests, whilst assisting plant major projects and upgrades.·Assist with establishing engineering priorities for shutdown and service events·Assist I/E workflow and take a leading role ensuring that the specification, planning, execution and feedback of work fully complies with site standards·Develop asset tactics, quality documentation and PM routines to deliver improved equipment availability and reliability·Provide first line technical assistance to the maintenance team·Ensure adherence to the site engineering standards and promote a right first time approach·Work with the offsite overhauls team to ensure specifications are in place for all instrument and electrical items.·Assist the I/E Engineer in rationalizing I/E routines to provide a more efficient and effectivemaintenance team.
·Substantial experience working/ supporting plant engineering
·Experience working with multi discipline teams
·Time served Instrument/Electrical technician with 10 years+ experience
