Our client, a leading property investment company, has a great reputation and is a leader in their field. They specialise in off-plan residential buy-to-let investments as well as ‘alternative’ property investments (such as student accommodation and care homes) across the UK. They have a successful track record over the last decade helping private investors from around the world grow their portfolios. Innovation and ongoing staff training is part and parcel of this company’s culture.

Role

As a result of their continued success and lots of new product launches, they are expanding their sales team and need new investment property consultants. This role is mainly phone-based and you’ll be calling warm and hot leads. Your sales style will be completely consultative – asking lots of open questions to ascertain what the investor is looking for and how you can best help them. You’ll be discussing their needs, what they’ve invested in before and what their investment strategy plans are. You’ll aim to build a great reputation that means clients come back time and time again

Person

So, what type of person does this role suit? This position requires a proven track record in selling consultatively. Ideally, a similar type of investment product be it property, a bond or other class of investment. Why? You’ll need to be at ease discussing numbers and figures. Showing that you can prospect for information with confidence and maturity as well as relay investment information with authority is vital.

You’ll also need to show you possess:

• Sales experience showing you’ve been constantly hitting monthly sales targets

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills as most of the sales work is done over the phone and by email

• Resilience, hunger for success and diligence

• A passion and genuine interest in property investment

Package

The basic salary package is between £20,000 and £25,000, depending on experience, with a straight-forward commission structure giving realistic on target earnings of at least £60,000 in your first year.
