Internally – Company Managers and Service Department Support Staff
Externally – Customers

MAIN DUTIES

GENERAL
  • Provide a reliable, courteous, efficient and effective service.
  • Maintain a positive image of the company to the customer at all times, through standards of dress/uniform and any verbal/written comments made to the customer.
  • At the completion of each PPM /small works visit report to the office before moving to the next call, returning to base or going home.
  • Ensure that any company vehicle provided is maintained in good working order including checks on oil, water & petrol/diesel. Report any defects that may affect the operability and/or safety of the vehicle.
  • Attend and contribute to monthly engineers meetings.
  • Maintain a high level of personal performance demonstrating a willingness to help others within the department and company.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and to be part of the company on call rota as and when required.
  • Adhere to the company’s Management System processes and procedures
  • Any other duty as may be required in line with operational requirements
ENGINEERING
  • Able to service all types of security systems including CCTV, intruder access control and AV equipment.
  • Ensure that the appropriate spares, consumables and test kits required to complete assigned tasks are available on the company vehicle provided.
  • Review media recorded as part of the PPM to confirm that the system is recording and working optimally.
  • Accurate and efficient fault reporting to allow the correct balance between rectification of faults and PPM completion.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE

Required:
  • Able to install and maintain all types of security products and systems.
  • A full drivers licence
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Electronic skills including soldering and repairs

Desirable:
  • Health & Safety awareness including:- Safe working at Heights, City & Guilds Street works, IPAF – mobile elevated platforms
  • Good IT skills including networking knowledge
  • Good working knowledge of company digital products
  • Valid passport
  • Knowledge of CCTV, intruder, access control, intercoms, gates/barriers.
