Accounts Payable Assistant - Cirencester

£18 - 20,000 per annum

Core Responsibilities

  • Telephone customer service with Suppliers
  • Distributing invoices and follow up invoice approvals
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve queries
  • Accessing and interpreting data from database
  • Logging incoming invoices
  • checking, chasing and obtaining authorisation of invoices
  • Data entry
  • General filing & housekeeping as required
  • Assisting with month end tasks

  • Additional Responsibilities

  • Working closely with all staff in the finance team and assisting with ad-hoc queries as they arise

  • Skill Set Required

  • Friendly and confident communicator by phone, email and in person (internal and external)
  • Well organized
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work on their own initiative also as part of a team
  • Adaptable and used to managing change
  • Good computer and data entry skills
  • Experience with computer databases
  • Able to apply a logical thought process

  • Specific Knowledge Required

  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of SAP is an advantage (but not essential as training would be given)
  • Interested in working in a finance team
