Celsian Education are actively working with a Special School based in Manchester that are currently looking to recruit 3 SEN Teachers, with successful candidates being appointed at the end of February. All 3 positions will be on a full time, permanent basis.

The school are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking teacher that has experience supporting pupils that have been, or at risk of being excluded. You will have the chance to work in a setting that drives the progression of all children and bring a sense of achievement to their learning.

With the school being rate by Ofsted as Good the SEN school support primary aged pupils with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. Working at the school can be very tough, as some of the behaviour of pupils can be extremely challenging at times, so candidates must be committed and have patience to work with the pupils.

The school are looking for a teacher that can show the following:
- Patience
- Understanding
- Progression (both personal and student)
- Ambition
- Resilience
- Motivation

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Qualification related to SEN or SEMH
- Team Teach (Desirable)

Experience required:
- Experience teaching and leading the class
- Achieving at least good progression for pupils
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH (desirable)

Knowledge & Skills:
- Curriculum knowledge (Yr 1 to 6)
- Ability to set realistic goals for pupils but maintain high expectations
- Plan and teach well-structured lessons that keeps pupils engaged throughout
- Able to adapt lessons quickly and effectively
- Excellent behaviour management
