The payments team are responsible for facilitating smooth transactions across the Bank and making sure an amazing experience is always provided for our customers. As a Payments Specialist, you are the colleague who can help us achieve success!
So what would you be doing?...
• Supporting and co-ordinating daily workflows on payment processing
• Providing product support on CHAPS, faster payments (online and manual), international payments, direct debits, standing orders and cheque processing
• Following all risk and industry guidelines associated with payment processing
• Making recommendations to improve the processes and therefore improve the experience for customers and colleagues
• Working closely with colleagues across the Bank to support escalations

And whilst we always aim to train for skill where possible, on this occasion we are looking for someone who is already able to do all these wonderful things...
• A good understanding of the concept of workflow management and lean methodology
• Knowledge of SWIFT, CHAPS, SEPA, faster and international and UK domestic payments
• Understanding MT message types (MT103,MT202,MT199,MT200)• Experience of the various payment types and how to differentiate between the channels
• Good communication skills and able to challenge where needed
• Excellent attention to detail
• Understanding payments risk
• Understanding international payment fields
