A rare opportunity has become available for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join the Alness based team, being responsible for maintaining the facility and all equipment used in the manufacture of products and the operation of the business.
Key responsibilities will include, although not be limited to:
·Maintaining and operating the preventative maintenance system that incorporates manufacturing & facility equipment.·Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance ·Responding to unplanned repairs and breakdowns·Fault diagnosing and repair of equipment·Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation·Creating /modifying maintenance procedures·Managing stocks of spare parts·Calibration to relevant standards for key process and measurement equipment ·Arranging 3rd parties to perform maintenance/calibration tasks where required·Controlling and maintaining tooling in manufacturing·Programming and machine setting as required
Other duties as required: ·Modifying equipment to improve performance and efficiency·Installing & Commissioning new equipment
This position would suit a ‘hands-on’ candidate with relevant qualification and a strong background in maintenance engineering gained from within a modern lean manufacturing environment.
Essential experience and skills:·Competent in areas of electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems ·Ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing processes·Strong engineering & technical knowledge·Excellent problem solving skills·Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to manage own workload·Good written and verbal communication skills·IT competent
