6 Month Contract Initially - Likely Jan 2018 Start

We are very urgently seeking an experienced and versatile Interim Infrastructure Manager (not really a Project Manager) to help on a number of sites throughout the UK but with the majority of time being spent in the North East of England / Humber area.

We need someone who can help optimise strategic vendor relationships and ensure that IT Infrastructure levels of availability are achieved as well as working towards the simplification of the IT estate and considering solutions to meet its future demands.

Essential Skills and Experience Includes:

• Strong knowledge of data centre architecture and technologies
• Strong knowledge of networks
• Experience in managing and procuring IT services
• An excellent understanding of how businesses can maximise their use of IT
• A good awareness of IT and the strategies and direction of IT solutions and trends
• Willingness to travel around the Group as required for specific projects and generally.

Ideal / Nice to have skills

• Previous Experience of undertaking this role within a SAP (or similar Enterprise level ERP) ecosystem
• Possess a good degree in an IT related subject relevant to this post
• Certification in ITIL
• Experience of budgets and financial forecasting
• Service orientated approach and a willingness to put the customer first

You will be working with:

• Senior Business Stakeholders, Customers and Board Members
• External IT Service providers
• IT Service Delivery Teams:
o CIO and Head of IT
o IT Governance
o Business Analysts
o Service Delivery Manager
o Service Desk Team Leader
o Application Support manager
o Transition manager
o Project Manager
o Internal & External auditors

If this sounds like you and you'd be available for an interview sometime next week then we'd love to hear from you. This is likely to be a January Start but interview cut off is this week - the role could easily go on for 12-18 months in total.

We feel this role would be ideally commutable from from Nottingham, Leicester, Sheffield, M1 Corridor, Hull, Immingham, Grimsby, Leeds, York, Scunthorpe and Doncaster but you can be based from further a field as they have VC technology that you could utilise if you were based closer to Hampshire for example, however the North East would be easier as you'd still have to travel there quite a bit, likely to be in London occasionally too.
