Project Engineer

This is a permanent opportunity open to a range of experience. If you have experience with Project Management or Project Engineering within an automotive environment, this could be the opportunity for you!

Working for a very well-established automotive company based in Redditch, your key purpose as Project Engineer is to ensure that the customer’s needs and requirements are adhered to and that the overall project is completed in a timely manner to costs.

This role offers an attractive salary of £33k - £40k depending on experience as well as an early finish on Friday!

Job Responsibilities and Major Activities / Tasks:
- Establishing the customer requirements
- Agreeing timescales, costs and resources needed
- Drawing up a detailed plan and schedule for each stage of project
- Ensuring each stage of project is progressing on time, on budget and to the right quality standards
- Report progress regularly to customer and Directors
- Managing risks to avoid delays to the project
- Works closely with relevant stake holders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s)
- Work closely with toolmakers and customers to define and document requirements and explain feasibility
- To undertake additional projects where necessary that the Directors deem to be a new project
- Flexible working hours to suit the needs of the business
- Some travelling required to customers and suppliers

Experience Required:
- Project Management / Project Engineering experience within the automotive field
- An automotive background and a good understanding of tooling
- Have the ability to efficiently communicate, both orally and written
- Have the ability to successfully and productively resolve problems and to execute unassailable business and financial skills
- Be exceptionally detail orientated and technically minded
- Able to responsibly lead a part of a team, efficiently utilize different computer and communication software applications and hardware, successfully manage time, plans, projects and other related tasks
- Be able to adequately function in a high expectancy and demanding position, able to continuously meet targets and surpass expectations and be extremely proficient and knowledgeable
