We have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounting and Business Advisory Supervisor to join our client's Birmingham Office!

This would suit a professional from an Audit background looking to diversify their skills.

Salary: £35,000 £38,000

Our client is a leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services to middle market leaders, globally. They are an established and progressive Top 10 Firm who are widely considered to be one of the most forward thinking and entrepreneurial of their peers.

About the Accounting and Business Advisory Supervisor

The Accounting and Business Advisory department (ABA) are responsible for the preparation of financial statements for clients of all types and sizes.

This job role will be to deal with year-end statutory accounts preparation and ad-hoc projects including FRS102, FRS101 and IFRS conversions, group re-organisations and complex consolidations.

There will be no audit work involved in this role, you will deal with corporate clients only with a typical turnover of £20m to £200m.

Although this role is based in Birmingham, it does involve regular out of office and London based projects so a degree of flexibility is required.

Key responsibilities include:

* To ensure that jobs are completed to the highest standard, within the agreed internal budget.
* To plan assignments in accordance with the firm's standard procedures and confirm arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billing arrangements.
* To brief junior staff on the client's business and the pre-assignment instructions.
* To closely monitor the practice management system reports, to ensure the profitable recoverability of work in progress, and to bill clients on a timely basis.

To be the successful Accounting and Business Advisory Supervisor, you will possess excellent communication and organisation skills and be able to relate to clients and colleagues.

Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you are ACA or ACCA qualified, either with at least 1 years' experience post qualified or newly qualified.

You will possess an excellent understanding of UK financial reporting requirements, in particular FRS102 and IFRS. Additionally, you will be able to manage yourself and have a can-do attitude.
