Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting an interim Management Accountant for a well established and profitable service business based in South Manchester. This business has a unique operating model and will provide the successful candidate with unparalleled levels of exposure across the business. Turning over in excess of £40 million per year the business has a dynamic finance team and is looking for an interim candidate to initially assist with year /month end processes and oversee various group finance functions.
The Management Accountant position is a rolling 3 month contract that'll sit within the existing structure of the business. The position has been created to cover an internal promotion so there is the potential for the role to extend if the interim makes themselves indispensable. Once in the business the interim will be responsible for all month end processes and assist the business with its year end close down. Reporting directly into the Financial Controller and working alongside the existing finance team the role will consist of:
Assist in the preparation of group and intercompany year end accounts
Liaising with the auditors regarding year end queries
Oversee the production of monthly & quarterly management accountants (actual v budget)
Budgeting and forecasting across the group
Production of all P&L variance analysis
Take ownership of all balance sheet reconciliations
Maintaining and balancing the consolidated intercompany accounts
Oversee the reconciliation process within the group
Production of KPI's and MI for the senior management team
The successful candidate will ideally be CIMA/ACCA qualified and will ideally have experience of working in an SME environment. Ideally the candidate will have had exposure to year end processes and will have extensive experience of month / quarterly ends within a fast, ever changing business. The role gives the successful candidate the ideal opportunity to get involved in a rapidly evolving SME that has bold growth plans over the next 5 years. Stakeholder management is key as the candidate will be liaising with a vast number of internal stakeholders. Highly developed technical knowledge and a good working knowledge of Excel is essential for this role.
